The USB Version 4 part numbers meet the USB Implementers Forum’s SuperSpeed USB Specification
that allows not only product interoperability with existing USB products, but also allows users
full duplex arrangement data flow.

In addition to supporting data transfer rates of up to 40Gb/s, USB 4 connectors support DisplayPort 2.0 and are compatible with Thunderbolt 3 devices. They offer better resource allocation for Video by using a process called "protocol tunneling" that sends DisplayPort, PCIe and USB packets at the same time while allocating bandwidth accordingly. USB 4 connectors are backward compatible with previous USB versions.
