What are Edge Rate® contacts?

Edge Rate® connectors are designed for high speed, high cycle applications. The smooth milled mating surface area of the contact reduces the wear tracks on the contact increasing the durability and cycle life of the connector system. Giving superior performance over stamped contacts, the smooth contact surface provides lower insertion and withdrawal forces, allowing the connectors to be zippered when unmating.
