Samtec PCIEO Series EOL Notice

PCIEO END OF LIFE NOTIFICATION

Dear Valued Customer,

This notification is sent to inform you of Samtec’s planned discontinuance of our PCIEO series, including derived custom OTP products, and opportunity for a last time buy.

Samtec makes great efforts to avoid discontinuing parts. Unfortunately, for this series, a key component has been discontinued, and suitable replacements are not available. In an effort to design and develop advanced products that meet the demanding technological needs of our customers and their end customers, the business decision to discontinue this product was finalized.

We realize upon receipt of this announcement you may require a last time buy. Samtec is committed to service, and these parts will remain available for order through August 31, 2019. All last time buy orders must have a ship date of no later than 08/31/20 (unless Samtec determines volumes and production capacity require this to be later). If your company and Samtec have agreed contractually to last buy terms different than those outlined above, please contact sales@toby.co.uk as soon as possible to discuss.

While Samtec is discontinuing our legacy PCIEO product, we do have an alternative PCIe optical product offering, PCUO, and our optical team is available to discuss and support any questions regarding the implementation of this design. 

Samtec greatly appreciates and value our business relationship, and we apologize for any inconvenience this necessary business decision may cause.
